Our Programs

Our children's house program welcomes children ages 2.9-6 into a warm, engaging, multi-age Montessori Classroom. Montessori Classrooms are multi-age with the older children taking on a leadership role to their fellow peers.

Throughout the day, children are encouraged to become increasingly independent. Younger students practice important, everyday skills such as putting on their shoes and slippers, managing their jackets and belongings, helping to take care of the classroom and practical activities of everyday living.

Older students enjoy working on these same skills along with moving through the areas of Sensorial and into the more academic area of Language and  Math. It is a rich learning environment combining Montessori Materials in a home-like classroom.

We also recognize the importance of movement, creativity, and time outdoors. Children have the opportunity for gross motor development throughout the morning with yoga and mindfulness, as well as ample recess time in our outdoor nature's classroom.

Our school calendar is posted on our website, and we encourage families to familiarize themselves with the first and last days of school.  Though summer programming is offered and can be seen as a continuation of the school year, hours of operation during summer months may differ. This information will be shared in a timely manner during our summer program planning period in early January-February.

There will be a three-day break after the end of school for teachers to clean and organize their materials and attend important close-out meetings. There is no programming offered in the month of August.
